Hope for the Holidays

Bring hope to someone this season.

The holidays are about more than gifts. They’re about being thought of, included, and surrounded by a little extra joy.

Hope for the Holidays connects volunteers with people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia in memory care and assisted living communities. Individuals, families, businesses, schools, faith communities, and other groups can sponsor one or more people for the holidays—learning about their interests and favorite things, selecting gifts just for them, and, whenever possible, presenting those gifts in person.

Whether you sponsor one person or bring your whole community together to sponsor many, you can help make the holidays a little more meaningful.

Individuals, Groups & Companies — Sponsor Someone for the Holidays

How It Works

1. Sign Up

Tell us how many people you or your group would like to sponsor. Volunteers commit to providing at least $200 in gifts for each person they are matched with.

2. Meet Your Match

We'll match you with one or more people and share a personal holiday profile with their interests, favorite things, gift ideas, sizes, and other details to help you shop thoughtfully.

3. Gather the Gifts

Shop yourself, raise funds as a group, or create an Amazon Wish List, Walmart, or similar online registry and invite your friends, family, coworkers, customers, classmates, or community to help. However you do it, the goal is the same: choose gifts that feel personal to the person you're celebrating

4. Share the Holiday

Wrap your gifts and get ready to celebrate! Whenever possible, volunteers will have the opportunity to personally present their gifts and spend time with the people they've sponsored.

Senior Living & Memory Care Facilities — Nominate Someone to Celebrate

We’re looking for participating communities.

If your community is interested in nominating residents to receive gifts this holiday season, we’d love to hear from you. Once volunteers are confirmed, we’ll follow up to collect resident information and coordinate details with your team.
